    Zoology is an interesting subject that is highly appreciated by students, because it imparts the most useful knowledge of our daily life. Zoology no longer remains a pure subject, and has been revised extensively making it a more interdisciplinary science to cater to the present scenario which is largely research and application based. The department was established in the year 1991 with the inception of the College and is imparting education up to S.Y.BSc. level. The department aims for the betterment of the students. The department boasts of a phenomenal success rate of its students, with above 90% results. Poster competitions, quiz competitions, seminar competitions, socio- cultural events, intercollegiate competitions are some of the annual activities undertaken by the department. These activities polish the overall personality of the students and develop in them team spirit, organization skills and healthy competition. They also serve to strengthen the camaraderie between students, which helps create a conducive, cosmopolitan learning atmosphere in the department. [Read more]

    The Dept. Of Zoology had arranged an educational visit to Savitribai Phule Pune University (Zoology Department) for F.Y.B.Sc Students. The museum contains a large number of animal groups of the kingdom, which are scientifically arranged and classified to facilitate the work of researchers and students in studying the types of animals found in the Kingdom's environments. It also contains an integrated unit for animal mummification and conservation which helps a lot during the teaching process in the department.

    The Dept.of Zoology had arranged an educational visit to Aquaculture Center for S.Y.B.Sc Students. (Manjiri Fish Farm). The students were shown rearing and culturing of fish, packing of fingerlings to export commercially and method of obtaining seed [seedlings or fingerlings], their Preservation and supply. They were also taught about the use of nets through demonstration.
